When I applied to join the Charities’ Board at St. Catherine’s School, Bramley I knew I would have to bring something exciting, fun and totally unique to the board. When I was introduced to Bushbells it brought all this and more!
When I looked into their work the bright, bold and beautifully honest nature of Bushbells really struck me and it radiates out of every item. Bushbells is a family run charity and that’s why I love it. The close-knit community created as a result of their work appealed to me as I knew I would be supporting individuals and their families such as Sammy (Bushbells's head tailor) in leading independent lives. Alongside this, Bushbells is focused on things that really matter including changing lives by providing education and the creation of a sustainable environment.
The Annual St. Cats Catwalk is a fashion show organised by the Charities Board. Each year it features a range of clothing from many local shops including prom and sportswear. This year, for the first time we featured a charity clothing range – BUSHBELLS. In conjunction with Bushbells I managed to secure a great collection of vibrant pull-ons and shorts which were modelled on the Catwalk. The playful nature of the clothes complemented by the music and the confidence of all of the models created a fun, colourful display. Everyone loved how bright and comfortable the pull-ons were, allowing them to totally own the runway!
The event was a huge success resulting in the sale of many pull-ons on the night whilst it was great opportunity to share and talk about the work Bushbells is doing out in Kenya. Check out the pictures of the catwalk show below!
