Watamu Marine Association

Watamu Marine Association

Team Bushbells are always keen to support other local enterprises that do such good work. We’ve always had a long association with Watamu Marine Association (WMA), who do such amazing work up and down the coast at Watamu, and they are a unique initiative in Watamu that brings together members from the community, tourism and environment sectors. WMA promotes community development that make a positive impact on the environment, society and the economy. In the past we’ve supplied them with unwanted lap-tops and were happy to be able to donate an unwanted key-board this year, as well as some funding. We particularly love their recycling centre and beach clean-ups and hope that the pupils from BLUEBELLS SCHOOL will be able to learn from WMA during the year. (see http://www.watamu.biz for more details)

Jane Spilsbury from WMA says of our recent donation:

“Team Bushbells are an amazing group of people in based Kenya and UK, tirelessly working towards helping to educate children with limited opportunities, and creating work for local Watamu tailors in the process. It’s a win win for all, and especially with their support of WMA”
