My Little Zen for Schools

More connections! More thanks ! And this time to Luke – who  has been volunteering at the school for 6 weeks and he has two more weeks still to go.

Thanks to his feet on the ground – right time and right place, he met Hayley and Lewis who run the most wonderful,  remarkable not-for profit My Little Zen. Based in the UAE, they bring and connect people together for a very special experience that combines music and yoga.  Profits from their events fund their yoga projects across Africa.  And whilst in Watamu, they were able to visit Bluebells school and loved what they saw.

As a result, they have set Bluebells school up with their own tablet and special link, and from now on – there will be live yoga lessons for the children, which they participate via the live stream zoom link provided.  I too, was joining in and watching it from the UK – just fantastic.  Oh the wonders of modern technology and the the generosity of amazing people.

You give but little when you give of your possessions. It is when you give of yourself that you truly give" - Kahil Gibran.

Hayley said, “Hi Jax. It was a pleasure to visit your beautiful school. We loved the feel and energy from the staff and kids - thank you so much for letting us see this very special place. The students are a credit to you and the Bluebells Team!"

Thanks Hayley and Lewis, for your kind words and we SO appreciate you connecting us with our wonderful teacher @‌dileesha_dharmakerrthi for our online classes! And thank you to Luke for making that connection - more ripples ! I love it all.

  • Thank you for your kind words in this blog post. I was deeply touched by your support for My Little Zen, our mission is to promote connection, whether it’s through human or digital means.

I loved visiting Bluebells school and seeing the energy and enthusiasm of the children there. We are thrilled to have the opportunity to connect with them each week through their online yoga class, and we look forward to sharing the benefits of mindfulness and movement with them. Thankful to see Luke in Watamu and discover Bluebells schools.

Once again, thank you for your kind words and for supporting our mission at My Little Zen. We are honored to be able to serve and connect with others in this way.
